"Safe House" is a 2012 American action thriller film directed by Daniel Espinosa and written by David Guggenheim. The movie stars Denzel Washington and Ryan Reynolds. The plot revolves around a young CIA agent, Matt Weston (played by Reynolds), who is in charge of a safe house in Cape Town, South Africa, where the CIA is interrogating Tobin Frost (played by Washington), a veteran operative accused of betraying the agency.

The safe house is then attacked by heavily armed mercenaries, leading Weston and Frost to escape together. The unlikely allies must stay alive long enough to uncover who wants them dead.
